Welcome to my website. My name is Giovanni Di Baldo and I am a wildlife and nature passionate observer, since when my father bought for my brothers and me an encyclopedia strictly focused on animals and their environment. It was 1970 and I still have those six thick, worn volumes, describing and illustrating wildlife, from the smallest branchiostomas up to the giant mammals, large sections of which I ended learning nearly by heart.
When I realised that it was possible to live nature adventures, almost all over the world and without crashing the bank, I decided to achieve the dream of my life and started spending all my holidays travelling in search for wildlife in its own environment.
Feeling the need of photographing the show of nature was not immediate but unescapable, so, few years ago I bought a bridge camera and started shooting animals in their own habitat, gradually improving my techique, by attending on-line seminars, reading photographic gear reviews and practicing whenever and wherever I could.
Certainly, it is possible and equally fascinating to observe and shoot wildlife in oneself backyard, but joining three magic ingredients like nature, travels and photography, made up my paradise on hearth.
This site aims to make people understand and share my passion, as well as inspire them to responsibly travel, taking part, directly or not, in protection of natural features.
